A Family Christmas to Remember in Madcap Comedy Flag Day
Theatre West (Hollywood, CA)

This world-premiere comedy skewers consumerism, sexism and general all-around family dysfunction in 1992 Los Angeles. In fact, it’s June 14th, Flag Day, but Margaret and her adult siblings, along with their kids and friends, have gathered to celebrate Christmas. Several surprise guests, including an armed terrorist, turn the ho-ho-holiday into one to remember, as they all struggle to connect. Billed as “Kaufman and Hart meet Chekhov,” Kres Mersky’s madcap play was developed as part of the Writer’s Rep program at Theatre West.
