Maestro Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic head up this stellar tribute to North and South American film composers, complete with clips shown on the Bowl’s big screens. They’ll be joined by multiple Grammy-winning singer-guitarist-producer-composer Gustavo Santaolalla, who’s scored such acclaimed films as Amores Perros, 21 Grams, Brokeback Mountain and Babel, for which he won two Oscars in a row for Best Original Score. He’ll take the historic stage for a performance of his suite from The Motorcycle Diaries. Dudamel also leads the Phil in a suite from his own score for the 2013 Spanish-Venezuelan drama Libertador, as part of the Americas & Americans concert series.
