Local favorite Esa-Pekka Salonen returns to conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic in a concert of Russian favorites under the night sky at the beautiful Hollywood Bowl. Grammy-winning pianist Yefim Bronfman joins them to take on Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1, one of his signature pieces. The orchestra will also perform Prokofiev’s gorgeous Romeo and Juliet Suite. Bronfman’s technique and exceptional lyrical gifts have won consistent critical acclaim and enthusiastic audiences worldwide for his solo recitals, orchestral engagements and broad catalog of recordings.
