Studio C Artists (Los Angeles, CA)
As told through monologue and dance, solo artist Derek Ringold tracks his challenging journey to leave his gay party-boy lifestyle behind in favor of becoming a responsible — though arguably less fun — adult. This follow-up to Ringold’s successful solo show I Love Me, I Love Me Not shines a light on the personal and professional struggles that led him to escape through a hard-living, late-night lifestyle. But ultimately, like many former West Hollywood “Lost Boys,” he realizes that he’s going to have to Man Up to succeed, no matter how hard it is to leave the party behind.
