First making waves on Fox’s MADtv with such impressions as David Letterman, comedian Jeff Richards was quickly snatched up by rival sketch show Saturday Night Live, becoming the first person to appear on both hit shows. He quickly became an SNL favorite with characters like Drunk Girl and Willy Wonka. Richards’ high-energy stand-up is a mix of his growing arsenal of impressions (including Louie Anderson and Kevin Spacey), outrageous original characters (including Knife Guy and the Jock/Meathead From Every ’80s Teen Movie) and riffs on life’s petty annoyances (automated phone operators).
