THE 5TH ANNUAL OPEN ROOF FESTIVAL KICKS-OFF WITH DENIS VILLENEUVE’S ENEMY AND HAMILTON POP ROCKERS THOUGHT BENEATH FILM.
Toronto fans of indie film and music will get another chance to watch their favourite stars under the stars, as the Open Roof Festival (ORF) returns for its fifth season, running weekly from June 19 through to August 21.
The opening night of this year’s Festival will leave you seeing double. Hamilton pop-rockers Thought Beneath Film (TBF) will bring their energetic music to the ORF stage, just ahead of Denis Villeneuve’s surreal psychological thriller, Enemy, starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a mild-mannered history professor whose life becomes bizarrely and irrevocably intertwined with his actor doppelganger. In the end, only one man can survive.
The evening’s custom menu crafted by 99 Sudbury’s in-house chefs echoes the theme of the film with all items offered in pairs. Plus, a diverse selection of food items from Cool City Oyster Yard, and beers from ORF’s long-standing partner Amsterdam Brewery.
WHEN: June 19, 2014
Doors at 7:30pm with the musical act coming on shortly thereafter and the film
commencing at sundown.
