In celebration of their 20th anniversary, the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony (LAJS) presents this summertime concert at the Ford showcasing award-winning actor, pianist, playwright and composer Hershey Felder, whose series of one-man productions have played to great acclaim worldwide. For this special concert event, Felder will debut an overture composed exclusively for LAJS, performed under the baton of artistic director Dr. Noreen Green. The concert will also feature Aliyah, Felder’s concerto for piano and orchestra that honors the creation of the State of Israel, as well as excerpts from his acclaimed one-man show George Gershwin Alone and a performance of Gershwin’s beloved Rhapsody in Blue.
