Forced to retreat to his parents’ basement by a devastating diagnosis, the normally upbeat Terry takes out his frustrations on them, while his longtime best friend John provides long-distance support any way he can — with Brazilian music, the poetry of Suzanne Somers and lots of wry humor. But when John arrives for a visit, he gets an entirely different view of the family dynamic. This world-premiere production of Stephen Dierks’ play comes to the stage courtesy of Ensemble Studio Theatre. John Dennis Johnston, one of Hollywood’s most accomplished and recognizable character actors, co-stars.
