The horror thriller Lyle receives its world premiere at Outfest, and tells the story of a pregnant lesbian trapped in a sinister nightmare, gripped by a terrifying evil and increasingly wary of her friends, neighbors and even her partner. Originally developed as a web series by writer-director Stewart Thorndike, Lyle pulses with echoes of Rosemary’s Baby and stars former child actor Gaby Hoffman (Sleepless in Seattle), who’s recently had a career resurgence with well-received roles in the Jenny Slate film Obvious Child and HBO’s Girls. The pre-show features the horror short Four Brothers. Or Three. Wait … Three.
