Soulfly: Ultra-Heavy Metal Band From Sepultura Frontman at House of Blues

Max Cavalera wasn’t finished when he left Sepultura, one of the most popular heavy metal bands in the world. Instead of retiring, he founded Soulfly, which immediately became one of the biggest acts in the world of heavy metal. Deeply influenced by spiritual and religious themes, Soulfly has continued to push the boundaries of metal with lyrics that encompass themes like war, violence, aggression and anger. With a gold record and a diehard fanbase, Soulfly recently released their ninth album Savages to global acclaim, with Record Collector declaring its blend of hardcore, thrash and groove metal “feisty” and “hypnotic.” Now the band comes to rock the House of Blues along with Lody Kong, a punk/thrash/hardcore outfit formed by Cavalera’s son Zyon (who also drums for Soulfly).
