Fresh from her Broadway run, Tony nominee Mary Bridget Davies revives the spirit of the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll in this Playhouse Rocks! concert. Davies also starred in A Night With Janis Joplin last summer at the Pasadena Playhouse and returns with a band of incredible musicians, guest artists and music direction from the MC5’s Wayne Kramer to perform Joplin’s biggest hits including “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Piece of My Heart,” “Mercedes Benz,” “Cry Baby” and “Summertime.” Cleveland blues siren Davies’s debut album Wanna Feel Somethin’ was nominated for a 2013 Blues Music Award for Best New Artist.
