On August 22nd, we welcome Prospero and the The Serpentina North Ensemble to the stage as part of Mutation Fridays.

Based in Toronto, Canada, Prospero was born as a musical solo project in August of 2001 under musician and DJ Wade Anderson. Since 2011 the band has evolved into a two man electronic industrial / rhythmic noise act with heavy influences from tribal noise, IDM, neo folk and other post-industrial music movements.

The Serpentina North Ensemble is a local tribal belly dance and music troupe. The dancers are Kelly, Sandy, Sarah, Elana, Wilma, and director, Orkideh. They are accompanied by Electronic World Fusion music artist, JMBZ, and guitarist, Justin Minister.

The Ensemble features a fusion of Middle Eastern, Indian, and Spanish styled dance, done in a group improv format to heavy hitting, groove-inducing music. It’ll be a treat for your eyes and ears!
