Charlie Parker.” In this music-filled solo show directed by She’s Gotta Have It star Tommy Hicks, ER‘s Montae Russell stars as the jazz legend, widely considered one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time. In addition to his peerless skills on the saxophone, “Bird” was an innovator in improvisation and a founder of bebop jazz, known for his creative use of extended harmonic structures. Bird Lives! explores and celebrates Parker’s trailblazing achievements in music.
