6 Rms Riv Vu: Romantic Real-Estate Comedy
Sierra Madre Playhouse (Sierra Madre, CA)

Rent control still rules in New York, as it did in 1972, when this popular romantic comedy debuted on Broadway. Bob Randall’s play takes place in a very desirable Manhattan apartment boasting six rooms and a river view, which attracts plenty of potential tenants, including a married ad man and an unhappy housewife. But when the two are inadvertently locked in together overnight, a romantic connection begins to develop as they challenge their life choices. The original production starred Jerry Orbach and Jane Alexander, who was nominated for a Tony for her role.
