There will be blood and jazz hands as cast members from the Hollywood Bowl’s production of Hair and La Mirada Theatre’s production of Les Misérables go toe to toe in the hilarious competition Broadway Cage Match. See some of the most talented show tune singers around duke it out in interactive performance games involving memorization, rapid-fire costume changes and “screlting,” a method of singing wherein the belting out of a given song becomes a high, loud (yet somehow still listenable) scream. You’ll want to leave the screaming to the pros, but feel free to cheer your heart out as these vivacious vocalists strap on the gloves and battle for show-biz glory.
