Dorothy Chandler Pavilion – 5th Floor Space (Los Angeles, CA)

Famed for its warmly intimate and interactive stage-free chamber concerts complete with Champagne, La Salon de Musiques opens its fifth season with the West Coast premiere of Howard Hanson’s Concerto Da Camera for piano and string quartet, along with pieces by 20th-century British masters John Ireland and Frank Bridge. The always stellar ensemble features violinists Jessica Guideri and Serena McKinney, violist Yi Zhou, cellist John Walz and pianist Adam Neiman, and there’s a Q&A with the musicians after the performance, along with a reception featuring Louis de Sacy French Champagne and a buffet catered by Patina.
