First Congregational Church of Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA)

"Music: A Mirror of Our Humanity"

“Music is the universal language of mankind.” This oft-quoted statement by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow has long been considered a universal truth — and the interesting duality of music is that it can provide, at the exact same time, a deeply personal experience. Music: A Mirror of Our Humanity is a concert that aims to shed light on human rights, children in need and the battle against cancer. Featuring a newly commissioned piece from composer David O., and the creation of a live, original work of art by fine artist Kaleeka Bond — inspired by the powerful voices of the many singers of Vox Femina — this elevating evening of art and music hopes to inspire you to help create a better world.
