Matinee performance 4-7pm, pwyc

With a flash of White Lightnin’, The Original Country Sunday returns to The Cadillac Lounge on Sunday, October 19th. The much-loved country music matinee showcase is back after a two-year hiatus, and this will be one stellar afternoon of top-notch talent and sweet honky tonk music. It’s “A Good Year For the Roses”, as Country Sunday celebrates the songs of the hard livin’ country legend George Jones, featuring The Country Sunday All-Stars, and Toronto’s hottest pickers and singers for your entertainment. Hear classic cuts from the songbook of one of country music’s biggest stars, from his early 1950s Starday sides and short-lived rockabilly alter ego Thumper Jones, to undisputed standards such as “Golden Ring”, “Things Have Gone to Pieces”, and “If Drinkin’ Don’t Kill Me (Her Memory Will)”, and much more as the afternoon unfolds. Country Sunday favourite Colonel Tom Parker will also be our guest DJ, spinning vintage honky tonk hits throughout the big show. The Race is On, and you won’t want to miss a moment!
