Folk Festival in Beautiful Topanga Canyon

The First Annual Topanga Folk Fest takes full advantage of its beautiful Topanga hilltop setting for an all-day concert and celebration of folk music. Relax on the lawn and enjoy performers including Colin Hay (Men at Work) and Cecilia Noel, folk-rock band Miner and British singer-songwriter Julia Fordham. Among the numerous other acts slated to perform is Linda Perhacs, whose psychedelic folk record Parallelograms was released in 1970 to little notice until its much-lauded rediscovery 30-plus years later. The show also serves as a fundraiser for Anam Cara, a Topanga hospice whose natural, verdant setting and alternative healing therapies provide a nurturing environment.
