Award winning Scottish-Canadian reggae artist JASON WILSON and iconic English fiddler DAVID SWARBRICK will be touring Ontario this November in support of their folk-reggae epic Lion Rampant. Ken Hunt, folk music critic for the British magazine fRoots called the album: Head and shoulders, the most eclectic, catholic and coherent musical banquet of 2014 thus far. Toppling unlikely. Unchained from the purists convention, the album boasts several special guests including PEGGY SEEGER, JOHN KIRKPATRICK, MARTIN CARTHY and PEE WEE ELLIS.
WILSON AND SWARBRICK will be joined by PEE WEE ELLIS for three of the duos Ontario shows this upcoming November. The legendary saxophonist was bandleader for both James Brown and Van Morrisons bands and co-wrote Browns hits Say it Loud, Im Black and Im Proud and Cold Sweat. Having located the intersections of various rebel musics of the past three hundred years, Wilson and Swarbrick with help from Pee Wee and the Jason Wilson Band invite you to their folky-funky-reggae party!
