Cyrano de Bergerac: The Unforgettable Romantic Comedy

The James Bridges Theatre (Los Angeles, CA)

"Cyrano de Bergerac"

Sometimes the love you seek is right under your nose. Hamish Linklater (Magic in the Moonlight, The Crazy Ones) stars in this lively staging of Rostand’s beloved romantic comedy about a nobleman whose gift for romance is overshadowed by his all-too-prominent schnoz. Cyrano de Bergerac tells the funny, touching story of France’s greatest warrior and poet who wishes to woo the beautiful Roxane, but is doubtful she will overlook his oversized nose. When he courts her by proxy, things go hilariously awry in this enduring masterwork that speaks as directly to the heart today as it did more than 100 years ago. Also starring will be Geoffrey Arend (Madam Secretary), Gregory Itzin (Covert Affairs) and David Krumholtz. This production will be recorded live for later broadcast on national public and satellite radio. There are no costumes or sets — just a very professional live audio performance.
