Broadway Bar this month features the cast of the national tour of Kinky Boots, along with Chris Barron, the leader singer of the Spin Doctors. Written by pop icon Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein, Kinky Boots won six Tony Awards (including Best Musical) on Broadway, and the national tour is currently playing at the Pantages. Chris Barron is one of the founding members and the lead singer of the Spin Doctors, the ’90s alternative rock band best known for their hits “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong.” Broadway Bar at Rockwell: Table & Stage is a monthly series bringing together some of the most talented and popular artists from L.A.’s vibrant music theater community to perform together in an intimate venue. The show is hosted by Kate Pazakis with Brian Kennedy at the piano.
