J.J. is young boy with a wild imagination and dreams of following in the footsteps of his piñata-making father. But these big dreams are threatened by the looming presence of big business piñata wholesalers, whose industry threatens the existence of the very tradition itself. Now, despite his father’s protestations that he give up his dreams and pursue a more practical path, Piñata Dreams finds J.J. drawn into a fantastical world where piñatas and alebrijes can come to vivid life.
