Russian National Ballet Theatre Revisit Classics for Their Gala Performance
Valley Performing Arts Center – Great Hall (Northridge, CA)

For this gala performance, members of the Russian National Ballet Theatre pay tribute to the many great works of Marius Petipa, the legendary French “father of classical ballet.” During his 19th century career as a dancer, teacher and choreographer, Petipa is said to have created more than 50 ballets. This homage includes his choreography for such masterpieces as The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Romeo & Juliet, and The Dying Swan. Each movement is exquisitely danced in the timeless tradition of classical Russian ballet.
