Dorothy Chandler Pavilion – 5th Floor Space (Los Angeles, CA)

Famed for its warmly intimate and interactive stage-free Chamber Music Concerts, Le Salon de Musiques returns to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion to celebrate the New Year with a French composer’s program, performed by the famed Pacific Trio. This new event features two masters — Saint-Saens and Boellmann — and includes two U.S. premieres. Before the concert, UCLA musicologist Julius Reder Carlson introduces the pieces, performed by the trio, violinist Roger Wilkie, cellist John Walz and pianist Edith Orloff. There’s a Q&A with the musicians after the performance, along with a reception featuring champagne and a buffet catered by Patina.
