Every year, the Markland Wood Homeowners Association organizes the Christmas Caravan to visit every home within the community to collect Food, Clothing and Cash for, food items go to: The Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank, Fathers of the Good Sheppard and the Scott Mission, clothing items go to; Good Will and the cash goes to The Toronto Star Christmas Wish Fund. We start at 9:00 AM sharp, have a break at around 10:30 AM, have a BBQ lunch at noon and finish to unload the bounty at around 3:30 PM. This is the flagship event for Markland Wood and has has been an annual event for 47 continuous years. And, yes… Santa Clause attends, giving treats to all the girls and boys…
