In the fishing hamlet of Seahaven, where Popeye lands and his love interest Olive Oyl lives, the streets run at bizarre angles, the people are exaggerated versions of themselves and the songs they sing throughout the film are based on iconic catchphrases like “I Yam What I Yam.” Watch this Robert Altman-directed musical comedy and children’s film at the Colony Theatre in Burbank as part of its Family Matinee series, during which free popcorn is included with admission and everyone is welcome to song along.
