Kicked to the curb by a long-time girlfriend who wanted to get married and start a family, a guy finds himself facing the age of 40 lost and alone. So he enters into a no-strings-attached relationship with The Doll, the latest advance in android technology, a female robot programmed to fulfill his every need. But it turns out having a virtual puppet for a romantic partner traps him in a different kind of tangled web. L.A.’s Inner Circle Theatre stages this 2012 one-act by award-winning Croatian playwright Miro Gavran.
