From the storied neighborhood of South Central Los Angeles comes Kimrie Davis, a rising star comedian and actress who had a breakout role in 2013’s Tyler Perry-produced Peeples. The only kid in her neighborhood to go to a private school instead of the local public school, Davis has a unique perspective on life, and performing chops honed by additional roles on TV shows such as Fox’s New Girl and ABC’s Scandal. She’s the celebrity headliner for a killer lineup of “First Timer Funnies” at Flapper’s Comedy Club in Claremont.
