For his one-man ode to an idol, actor Julian Sands (A Room With a View, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) combines the poems and political prose of Nobel Prize-winning British poet and playwright Sir Harold Pinter. Pinter earned acclaim for his plays The Caretaker and The Birthday Party, and was famously outspoken about international human rights abuses and U.S. foreign policy. Sands’ homage will include his own personal anecdotes culled from working with Pinter shortly before the writer’s death in 2008.
