Subtitled “Pastoral,” Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony was first performed in 1808 and ever since its premiere, this enchanting exploration of the joys of nature has won acclaim as the warmest of the German composer’s works. Prodigy Geneva Lewis, a 16-year old violinist, joins conductor Nicholas McGegan and the Pasadena Symphony Orchestra on Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3, the composer’s most famous and adored concerto. Also on this program at the Ambassador Auditorium: the baroque beauty of French composer Rameau’s energetic Ballet Suite from Nais.
