The ladies of Delta Delta Delta invite you to our biannual all-you-can-eat fundraiser! By purchasing a $5 ticket in advance or at the door, ABC’s with DDD will remind you of your special childhood moments — something we want all children to be able to experience. We will be serving your favourite comfort food from elementary school — think mac ’n cheese, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, rice krispies squares and more! This year’s theme is inspired by the “ABC’s of Cancer,” a mural at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital that features artwork, poetry and writing created by its patients (check it out here: http://mycountry955.com/abcs-of-cancer). With this theme, we hope to bring the focus back to our cause: finding a cure for childhood cancer.
As always, we will be donating all proceeds from this year’s event to our local and international philanthropies — SickKids Foundation and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This summer, Tri Delta surpassed our 2011 goal of raising $15 million in 5 years, completing this ambitious objective in only 3.5 years. We quickly accepted a new challenge — $60 million in 10 years to name a new residential facility for St. Jude Families, Tri Delta Place. Our international sisterhood has embraced this goal and the sisters of Canada Alpha are thrilled to contribute! Your donation will directly impact the future of St. Jude, ensuring this fantastic institution continues the fight against childhood cancer.
