Zipper Concert Hall at the Colburn School (Los Angeles, CA)
Think of it as a tasting flight for your ears: Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra’s Baroque Conversations features a succession of five sonatas from five key composers of the Baroque and early Classical periods. Principal cellist Andrew Shulman leads this exciting program of masterworks by Vivaldi, Marcello, San Martini, De Fesch and Bach– the undisputed master of the High Baroque — at Zipper Concert Hall. He’ll be accompanied by cellist Trevor Handy and harpsichordist Patricia Mabee, who comprise the basso continuo — the heart of the Baroque ensemble. All three are members of the L.A. Chamber Orchestra, which has been called “America’s finest chamber orchestra” by Public Radio International and “resplendent” by The Los Angeles Times.
