Set at a wedding and inspired by true stories, this series of six monologues entertains with singing, dancing, movement and poetry while exploring the struggles and triumphs of those who’ve experienced intolerance, homophobia and transphobia. The show embraces cultural differences while celebrating diversity and self-acceptance. This revival of Teatro Akabal’s Under My Skin (Bajo La Piel), performed in English and Spanish with subtitles in both languages, comes to L.A.’s Macha Theatre after premiering at WeHo’s 2014 One City One Pride LGBTQ Arts Festival.
