Now Beastie Boys tribute trio Pollywog Crew carries on the legacy of Ad-Rock, MCA and Mike D with a high-energy live show that captures all the lyrical gymnastics, beat-drops and swagger of the original Beasties. Rather than the beer-chugging, girl-chasing party guy anthems of their MTV heyday, the Pollywog Crew focuses on the Beasties’ more refined, more musical Ill Communication era — a time that brought us hits like “Sabotage” and “Sure Shot” plus brilliant deep cuts like “Flute Loop.” Pollywog Crew is joined by Rated X, Sessions and Wong Numbers for this concert at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach.
