A woman loses her husband and daughter in a random school shooting, a white cop shoots a black man’s son, a gay therapist morphs into a meth-addicted serial killer — these are just a few of the heart-wrenching stories in playwright Michael Kearns’ latest theatrical powder keg, Bang Bang. Initially workshopped last year at Skylight Theatre Company, this world premiere production is a collage of confessionals and testimonies of characters who face the consequences of what happens when the trigger is pulled. Bang Bang finds a fitting home at Santa Monica’s Highways Performance Space and Gallery.
