Friday, May 8 at 8 pm the Choir of Lawrence Park Community Church will present “The Peacemakers” by British composer Karl Jenkins. Jenkins sets to music words of peace from iconic world-changing figures such as Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King, along with inspirational quotations of Mother Teresa, Albert Schweitzer, Anne Frank and others. The evening will begin at 7 pm with wine and hors d’oeuvres and a viewing of silent auction items. Following the concert will be dessert and a final chance to bid. Proceed from this event will support the outreach of Lawrence Park Church in and around Toronto.
Tickets are $35 and $20 for students and are available online at www.lawrenceparkchurch.ca/fridays-at-8-concerts. Included is a glass of wine or soft drink.
