Highways Performance Space and Gallery (Santa Monica, CA)
Choreographers Charlotte Adams and Jennifer Kayle return to Highways Performance Space and Gallery and they’re bringing five new works with them. GUSH is built around several themes that concern the artists, including becoming undone, sex and death, overflow, excess and being consumed in burning little worlds. The pieces will be accompanied by original music created by composer Jason Palamara and videography by Alex Bush and Tori Lawrence. Charlotte Adams’ choreography is known for combining wit and athleticism, and has been been called “slyly humorous” by The Arizona Daily Star and “arresting” by The New York Times. Jennifer Kayle’s work is built around improvisation, and has been praised as being “provocative, tight, with wit and stage craft” by Vox Fringe.
