Reel Asian presented by National Bank, proudly presents our 2015 Spring Showcase: REMADE – LOVE, HATE, DEBATE from May 15 – 16, 2015.

The series will spotlight three films over the course of the weekend, centered around the discussion of Asian remakes. The showcase kicks off with the Canadian premiere of SUPERMEN OF MALEGAON, a documentary on a small town in India, where a group of cinema enthusiasts make their own low-budget funny spoofs of Bollywood films.

On Saturday, May 16, the box office hit MISS GRANNY will be screened alongside 20 ONCE AGAIN, the Chinese remake of the film. The films share the same story – a 70-year old woman who magically transforms into her 20-year old self – but presented in their own cultural setting. 20 ONCE AGAIN, like its original Korean counterpart, opened in China this year with impressive box office numbers.

**All events are free admissions and taking place at AGO Jackman Hall on May 15 & 16, 2015. Tickets available one hour before screening and are subject to a first-come, first-served basis.**
