New York in the ’20s comes alive in Rhapsody in Blue, George Gershwin’s romantic and influential mashup of jazz and classical music. Experience the magic of this landmark work as the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic and the Big Band of Barristers perform at Walt Disney Concert Hall. The Legal Voices choir will also be lending their voices for the 6th Annual Concert Extraordinaire, which will feature a salute to Broadway musicals, with all-time favorite tunes from such shows as Westside Story, My Fair Lady, Wicked, Les Misérables and more. Tony winner Michael Maguire, who originated the role of Enjolras in Les Miz on Broadway, will be a featured soloist. KFI radio host Bill Handel, Esq. will emcee and actress June Lockhart (TV’s Lassie) will be a special guest.
