When LA Weekly described a live performance by this all-female Black Sabbath tribute act they didn’t mince words, saying: “Black Sabbitch took the stage and pretty much melted everyones’ faces … they emanated the effortless cool of rock and roll, but with about 10 extra ounces of sexy confidence.” Angie Scarpa, who destroys on the drums, and Blare N. Bitch, who shreds on guitar, had been friends for a decade and playing in separate bands before they jammed together one night on “War Pigs” and realized they were onto something special. Rounding out their group with Melanie Makaiwi, a badass on bass guitar, and Aimee Echo — legendary frontwoman for Human Waste Project, who played Ozzfest in 1998 — on howlingly authentic vocals, Black Sabbitch was born. Catch them in concert at Saint Rocke with a ferocious opening set by Bourbon Saints.
