A creative dream team, including composer John Adams, choreographer Lucinda Childs and architect-cum-set designer Frank Gehry, reunites in an updated production of their classic work Available Light. As a bonus, following the June 5 performance, you can stick around to hear the creators discuss the evolution of the piece. Thirty-one years ago, Available Light opened the Temporary Contemporary (now The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA). For this revival production, a company of 12 dancers brings to life Childs’ re-imagined choreography, performing to Adams’ original tape score on a set newly designed by Gehry. See this one-of-a-kind collaboration between three trailblazing artists at the Gehry-designed Walt Disney Concert Hall.
