One of the original pioneers of smooth jazz, pianist David Benoit now leads the Asia America Youth Symphony Orchestra as conductor and music director. He’ll conduct this concert from the piano giving you the chance to witness the master play with the accomplished youth orchestra he founded. This concert at Carpenter Performing Arts Center also features a performance by Grammy award-winning guitar virtuoso Earl Klugh, a long-time collaborator with Benoit. The evening’s program features a mix of jazz and classical music, including Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 7.
