Spend an evening under the stars at the iconic Hollywood Bowl, enjoying the scenery, fresh air and the moody and melodious sounds of the Los Angeles Philharmonic as Conductor Bramwell Tovey leads an evening of favorites from Russian Romantic Sergei Rachmaninoff. The show will feature Piano Concerto No. 3, which was Rachmaninoff’s triumphant comeback after his disastrous First Symphony, as well as Vocalise, an austere, melancholy piece that’s beautiful in its sadness. Finally, the last piece Rachmaninoff wrote, Symphonic Dances, will complete the show. Its rich, exotic and eerie sounds are perfect for a summer evening concert.
