All Beethoven at Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA)

LA Philharmonic Performs Beethoven Concert at Hollywood Bowl

Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA)

"All Beethoven"

Beethoven’s music is beautiful anywhere, but under the stars, performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the iconic Hollywood Bowl … well, that just brings it to a whole other level. Enjoy an evening of Beethoven favorites, like the Egmont Overture, the thunderous conclusion to the heroic tragedy Egmont, about an honest man’s defiance of tyranny. You’ll also hear Beethoven’s Violin Concerto performed by the gifted Martin Chalifour. This concerto was ahead of its time, puzzling early audiences but becoming a favorite decades later. Finally, you’ll hear Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, “Pastoral,” which seems made for the outdoor venue with its sounds that bring to mind bird songs, water flowing, leaves rustling and even a thunderstorm.
