For the final farewell to 952 Queen Street West, artist Dean Baldwin, a long-time practitioner of convivial scenarios, establishes the Queen West Yacht Club, a fictitious social venue in situ at MOCCA on the occasion of its closing exhibition.
The landlocked QWYC will play host to contributing artists in a series of summer programming: white caps, choppy waves, tempestuousness, beam reaches, flotsam, scuppers and other kindred events open to all members of the fine club (where “membership is, like, two dollars”).
Deck shoes are mandatory.
