Toronto monthly event #TheHustle features a new era r&b lineup featuring the city’s own Adria Kain and Shaemara, plus a visit from Detroit’s King Visionary.
TORONTO – The Academy is back with the eighth edition of its renowned monthly #TheHustle concert series. Matching the summer heat is a scorching croon-a-thon of modern r&b from both sides of the Canada-US border. Headliner Adria Kain is fresh off the release of her critically acclaimed debut album, Island In My Mind, featuring the smooth melodic anthem “Higher” and production from Toronto luminaries Junia-T, Sevn Thomas and Jordan Evans, as well as soon-to-be household names Moose and Nate Smith.
Adding to the local firepower is Toronto’s own Shaemara, who has been taking her electro-infused singer/songwriter/goddess (life)style to stages all across the city, turning heads along the way. She recently released an EP, Introducing Shaemara, a video for her single “Swimming”, and a remix of her song “Masquerade” by HMLT. Making the trip from Detroit to round out the lineup is King Visionary – parts singer, rapper, house music stylistic – his infectiously original signature sound will have the audience at #TheHustle remembering the night from beginning to end.
