This moving documentary captures the life and legacy of flamenco singer Enrique Morente, whose music was deeply influenced by the art of Pablo Picasso. Nominated for Best Film of 2011 by the Spanish Film Academy, Morente includes performances of songs from the beloved singer’s final album, Pablo de Málaga. It also includes extensive interviews with Morente, who died just days after filming finished in 2010.
Arts and culture journalist Justine Bayod Espoz will introduce Morente and lead a Q&A session following the screening.
