New West Symphony Featuring Grammy-Winning Guitarist Jason Vieaux

NPR has described Jason Vieaux as “perhaps the most precise and soulful classical guitarist of his generation,” and Gramophone magazine ranks him “among the elite of today’s classical guitarists.” Now the 2015 Grammy-winning guitar phenom opens the latest New West Symphony Masterpiece Series season with a performance of Joquin Rodrigo’s masterpiece, Concierto de Aranjuez for Guitar and Orchestra. Music director Marcelo Lehninger leads the orchestra in a program that also includes Manuel de Falla’s Suite No. 1 from The Three Cornered Hat and Dvorak’s New World Symphony.
