Discovered by the great Count Basie, with whom she worked until his death in 1984, vocalist Carmen Bradford has performed with Wynton Marsalis, Tony Bennett and countless other artists. The daughter of legendary trumpeter Bobby Bradford and renowned vocalist Melba Joyce, Bradford was raised in Altadena in a house filled with music. She has gone on to become a popular artist of her own, carving out a niche as a singer with her expertise in big blues and jazz standards from the Great American Songbook. Her soulful vocals and old-school approach to a tune have brought accolades from critics and fans from around the world.
